I''m looking forward to at least a few years of moderate use. The wheel has to be fast ened tightly to my desk with the built in clamps. It seems designed for rugged use, and probably would benefit from a stand. The shifting in this game is either the wheel or the stick, selected during calibration. I have to hang on when I shift and round corners. I'm getting used to the sensation of the wheel yanking against my hands.

My PC is a 10 year old Pentium Lenovo with a graphics card added. I'd say it is plug and play with Windows 10. The force feedback was still strong and challenging. I downloaded the Logitech profiler, changed the settings, and I didn't notice any difference. The force feedback setting seems preset in the game. It is my first force feedback wheel, and I'm using it with Grand Prix Legends. I bought this in near new condition at the same price it used to be a few years ago. Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: refurbished | Sold by: geekdeal Not worth paying more than US$120 for it. Can be pretty annoying, un less you do not mind pausing the game every 10 mins to recalibrate wheel.Ĭonclusion: In my opinion this wheel is nice if you get it for a nice deal or a factory refurbished with warranty. Only gets fixed by unpluging USB and pluging it back for self calibration. * *Offcentering of the steering wheel** after using it in game for a while. * No H shifter, and no flap paddles, just 2 buttons in the back and a sequential stick shift. This increases longevity and ensures consistent accuracy. *Steering wheel is gear driven, and not a belt. *Lots of programmable buttons, so you can use the wheel without going back to the keyboard while you are in-game. *Force feedback is strong (this feature can be adjusted through wheel settings to taylor your gaming experience), this means that you can feel wet roads, gravel, potholes, etc. Logitech Driving Force GT Racing Wheel Gamer's Review Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: pre-owned | Sold by: nesguy_anton As for software, the wingman app is OK and lets you tap into more advanced settings like 900 degree rotation, but these settings don't activate until you open the app window after you first start windows. Everything else seemed to work as expected. The dial seems to have limited functionality in PC sims each click left and right counts as a button p ress.

I have also owned a Driving Force Pro and this wheel is very similar but I believe the GT model uses a larger motor, a larger diameter wheel and the button configuration is different, with the red dial and back-lit center button. There are work-arounds but they probably aren't worth it, unless you're already invested in the old hardware.

Like most older Logitech wheels, it is incompatible with PS4 or newer systems, so look at newer models if interested in these systems.

Hopefully soon I will also post Rpi images to get you off the ground quicker with Rpi, and I’ll probably also sell the little circuit board with a power button and status LED as described here, because it’s quite handy. This wheel comes with all the features you would need for PC and PS2 and 3 racing, including 900 degree rotation, realistic force feedback rubber wrapped wheel and plentiful buttons for every possible car function. I will not have time for support questions, so please read the GIMX wiki and forums for help. Note that you can pay directly with a credit card through the PayPal link even if you don’t have a PayPal account. So here’s my “hello world” website where you can finally buy this adapter! I decided this was way too much hassle for most people to go through, and I could make up a bunch of adapters relatively easily (yeah, right). I’ve spent way too much time in the past couple of months setting up my G27 wheel on my PS4, including running GIMX on a Raspberry Pi to take the laptop out of the loop. You just need to make a USB adapter and run the GIMX emulator on your PC or Raspberry Pi. The answer, the big “screw you!” to Logitech, is GIMX. If you have a G25, G27 or DFGT, you’re out of luck. As you probably know if you’re on this page, Logitech wisely decided to not support any of their old racing wheels on PS4, only their new G29.
